THE BETA COMMUNITY

Let’s make
Moko better.

Moko Development is our invite-only Discord for testers. Share work, exchange brushes, report bugs, and talk through ideas. The team collects community feedback and reviews it all internally.

Human-made art and assets only; no AI-generated content. Moko has no generative AI tools currently planned.

Your work stays yours. Reuse in Moko, marketing, or a showcase requires your explicit permission, named credit, and the team’s approval. Community votes never grant usage rights.

BEFORE YOU JOIN

A few useful
things to know.

We’ll keep these answers up to date as the beta develops.

How does closed beta access work?

Submit a request using the email you use—or will use—for your Cubebrush account. The team reviews applications and contacts selected testers with next steps. Applying doesn’t create an account, verify your email, or guarantee a place or release date. If selected, use that same email when signing in or creating and confirming your Cubebrush account.

What kind of computer do I need?

The current beta is for Windows. Standard brushes can fall back to the CPU. Natural Paint needs a compatible hardware GPU with WebGPU support; dedicated graphics are recommended. Performance depends on your hardware, brushes, canvas size, and layers. Final minimum requirements are still being established.

Can I use my existing projects and brushes?

Yes. Import Photoshop ABR and Clip Studio Paint SUT/SUTG brushes, and open layered RGB PSDs. Native Clip Studio documents aren’t supported. Work on copies and keep your originals. for supported content and limitations.

What feedback is useful?

Tell us what you were doing and what felt wrong, missing, or especially useful. Your app version, device, steps, and screenshots can help with bugs. Every detail helps us fix it faster, but none of this is required. Share whatever you have!

Do I need to join Discord?

No. Discord is optional. Moko Development is an invite-only place for testers to share feedback, artwork, and resources. The member link on this page doesn’t grant server access; beta invitations will include the relevant access details.

What about photography and RAW files?

The photography workspace is in development. Camera and RAW format support is still being tested; availability and supported-camera details will be shared as that preview develops.

Who is behind Moko?

Moko is a Cubebrush product, made by artists for artists. The team reviews tester feedback as development continues.

MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME

Your guide to
making the move.

Your familiar workflow

Layers and masks, familiar tool shortcuts, customizable key bindings, and dockable or floating panels. Arrange a workspace around the habits you’ve already built.

From Photoshop

Open layered RGB PSDs in 8 or 16 bits per channel and import ABR brushes. Layers, groups, masks, many adjustments, supported horizontal point text, and a subset of linked Smart Objects are editable. Brush behavior can differ between engines.

From Clip Studio Paint

Use File → Save Duplicate → Photoshop document (.psd). Choose RGB and embed the color profile. Keep your original .clip file; native .clip, .lip, and .cmc documents aren’t supported. Import .sut brushes and .sutg brush groups with supported tips, textures, and settings. The import report identifies any settings that translate differently between brush engines.

Keep an original. Try your own projects.

Unsupported text, embedded Smart Objects, vectors, and some effects use saved pixels or need conversion. Linked sources require explicit relinking. Font availability affects editable type. PSB, CMYK, Lab, and 32-bit PSDs need conversion first. CSP-specific features can change during PSD export.

A familiar workflow doesn’t mean every file feature translates identically. Moko’s import report identifies unsupported content.
